I dream a world
nor longer red or blue
but the purple hue of hope
the rainbow masses on a short rope

The 6th of January was a day of gloom and doom
far removed from the first step on the moon
angry Americans defiant and confused
our democracy abused

Patriots killing their own
say they love our country
spewing lies and misinformation
destroying the way we became a nation

Our dreams of being free a vailed nice
freedom comes with a price
